HOW GSI EXECUTIVE SEARCH WORKS FOR YOU
- A visit by a member of our team with the “Client” is
the essential first step. It is critical that we learn as much
as possible about our clients; both operations and culture in order
to understand the unique aspects of each placement. This important
information allows us to focus and tailor our search efforts as
to the desired skills and personality you seek. Some of the information
and documentation we find helpful includes:
- A history of the client firm or club to include current and
completed projects.
- The “Mission Statement ” if available.
- Any informational literature about the client to include
the web site if available.
- Current and anticipated projects.
- An Organizational Chart.
- An existing Job Description for the position.
- Your responses to our “Candidate Profile Questionnaire.”
- Current business volumes as to Gross Revenues and Sales.
- Areas of the operation in need of improvement or change.
- Any other pertinent information that you deem as appropriate
to the search.
- Preparation of a “Position Description” setting forth the
duties and responsibilities for the position and a competitive
compensation package.
- The search for viable candidates begins as we take advantage of
our extensive network of contacts in the respective industries.
From these contacts and discreet inquiries, we develop a “long list” of
potential candidates that we pre-screen. We identify professionals who
meet the criteria as set forth in the “Position Description” giving
special consideration to the following:
- Relevant experience with a clear progression of position
and responsibility.
- Availability.
- Current compensation and benefits.
- Geographic preferences.
- Preliminary reference verification.
- Development of a “short list” of candidates for you to
potentially interview. We provide a group of recommended “Candidate
Profiles” and resumés for your review. From this group,
you select those you wish to schedule for an initial interview.
We assist in the scheduling and coordination of the interviews to include
reimbursement of candidate expenses that we invoice after the fact. At
your discretion, we are present at all interviews to assist and facilitate
as needed.
- Once you have shown a preference toward two or more “finalists”,
we conduct additional reference checks on each candidate prior
to the scheduling of final interviews. Our efforts include:
- Confirmation of the employment history.
- Confirmation of professional and personal references.
- Verification of the educational record.
- A credit history and a criminal background check.
- Our reference and background research is thorough. We are
confident that the professionals we present for consideration
are highly qualified and meet or exceed your criteria and expectations.
Our efforts are an integral part of the services we provide,
saving you time, inconvenience and money. All of our placements
are guaranteed as well.
- The scheduling and coordination of final interviews. Often, this
may be a two day process allowing the candidates to bring their
spouses to the community. Again, we are present to assist you.
- Finally, we will assist in making an offer of employment to your
candidate of choice. Additionally, we continue to monitor the progress
of all placements through timely contacts with the client. We take
great pride in the establishment of long term relationships with
our clients as well as the professionals we place. It is not uncommon
for us to make several “key
staff” placement
