Rancho La Quinta recently acquired the Country Club from the previous owner and integrated it into our existing HOA structure. It became clear that we needed a overall manager of this combined entity who had experience in bringing these types of organizations together. The Board of Directors decided to engage an executive search firm to help us expedite this process. We selected GSI Executive Search to become our partner. Terry Anglin, from GSI came to meet with us at Rancho La Quinta to get a sense first hand of our club, operations, our amenities, and understand our strategic plans going forward that would all be critical requirements for a new leader.
Terry worked closely with the Board and our search committee in the following days to develop potential candidates for us to begin reviewing. The process they used created an impressive list of qualified candidates from all around the United States. A packet was developed for each candidate that included a candidate synopsis provided by GSI, cover letter, work history and a detailed candidate profile where each person answered a series of questions we posed ahead of time to be used in our screening process. Through an iterative process, we down selected, interviewed, and ultimately selected a candidate who accepted our offer and began work at Rancho La Quinta within about two months’ time from when we began the process. We were pleased with the close coordination throughout the entire process.
